In case you missed it , former Leader of the Opposition in the UK and now Labour party outcast Jeremy Corbyn MP used his Christmas message to warn of growing authoritarianism in Britain.
While we @cogres think he might not be going far enough, it’s good to have his voice in this critical debate, one in which the political left has been eerily quiet until now.
I’ve never seen anything on this scale before.
I was in parliament for most of Margaret Thatcher’s tenure and while her instincts were to prevent demonstration and curtail demonstration, the scale of oppression of liberties now is far greater.
